 My Rotten Life:

Nathan Abercrombie, Accidental Zombie

by David Lubar

Ten-year-old Nathan Abercrombie is having a really bad day. First, Shawna Lanchester, the prettiest girl in his class, doesn’t invite him to her party. Then he gets picked last in gym class. Things couldn’t get any worse…until he gets doused with an experimental serum that turns him into a half-dead zombie!

2008-2009

We have just finished reading the novel, Jumping the Scratch by Sarah Weeks. After reading each of us created a list of 15-20 words that we felt were the most important in the story. We then combined these words to create a Wordle. The words that we thought of more often, the larger the word is in the design. You can easily see what we felt were some important things in the story. We also had a deep discussion about what colors to choose for the words. The colors that we chose are represented heavily throughout the story.
